Modularity for Simpla CMS

Is there any solution to provide a simple modular extension of Simpla CMS functionality? At the moment, to expand the functionality, you have to make changes to the engine files themselves, modify it heavily, getting problems with updates in the future and other problems.

Is there a solution to this issue and in which direction should I dig? I found some mention of a certain “ModuleMaker”, nothing worthwhile could be found.

I think it will be easier to choose a CMS where modularity is implemented, for example ImageCMS .
By the way, in the last release, they did an auto-update, in theory there should be no more dances with tambourines. :)

I have been working with this engine for a couple of months. I didn't find a simple solution either. From modularity, I had to finish the engine in terms of delivery systems in order to connect pickpoint, dpd and others, where price calculation and some manipulations are required before being shown in the order. I won’t say that it turned out beautifully, but I can share the code.

ComAT0Zz,
I will be very grateful if you share the code.
I also want to add my own.

That's the plus of "non-modular" systems - integrity. Those. if it works, it's hard to "drop" it.
Another plus is consistency and rich functionality out of the box.
Currently, it is practically not being developed, but there are a bunch of professional assemblies for any needs.
The whole feature of Simpla is in this - solid and indestructible, look for tests of stability and performance of store scripts, there are many of them on the net.
We need modularity, i.e. the need to enable or disable certain functionality "on the fly" - take another system. A lot of money - take Bitrix, let others suffer, the main thing is not to spare money. Little money - take ImageCMS or PrestaShop and learn programming, because 90% of specialists who promote these systems are either enthusiasts or novice programmers, in many ways they will have to figure it out on their own. An old forum member is a site on Joomla - take VirtuMart (popular entertainment for masochists), RedShop or any of dozens of others. Modern blogger - WordPress to help. An experienced programmer who wants complete control and convenience, but speed is not the main thing - MODx.
Well, if you need to trade - take Simple.
Simple is a solution out of the box, with all the "pluses" and "minuses" that follow.
