Why not use existing solutions? There are for every taste, from primitive ones aimed at load testing ab, htperf, siege; to advanced Jmeter, selenium, commercial ones like hp loadrunner/quicktest and even iron ones like avalanche.
Any programming language can handle this, even asm can be perverted.
