What to study for Unity?

Hello! I would like to ask about programming in Unity, or rather, what to study for this: separate books on C # programming or, for example, "C # Game Programming Cookbook for Unity 3D"?

There are only some subtleties when working with Unity3D, they just need to be memorized. For example - do not use constructors, initialize fields in Start for gameObjects.
I have such a set of rules in 300 lines.
But C# will reach many thousands, and having studied it, you can move in other directions. Let's go here and enjoy the best C# courses in the entire Runet https://www.youtube.com/user/CBSystematicsTV/playlists (if you watch all the videos and start from the very beginning, you can find the full versions of several lectures).
For Unity3D, you still need to master Blender, Photoshop, SoundForge or equivalent at a basic level.
Read about the psychology of games, marketing, design, markets, monetization.
This is for indie rolled into one.

And I wouldn't go there in the first place. The main problem will be related to the creation of models, effects. And if Sharp's knowledge is also weak, then it will be a disaster.

Hello.
I think this area is very promising today. and it is not necessary to work on your own - there are a lot of interesting vacancies for development on the unit. By the way, the average salary is higher than for developers.
There is a lot of literature on the unit, for example. Alan Thorne, etc. and videos and applications, for example, like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com....
and many other sources where you can learn a lot of
things, so go ahead

If you know English well, I advise you to learn using the official Unity courses https://unity3d.com/ru/learn
But, if the level of English is not strong, then I advise Russian-language Unity courses.
At one time, the courses from these guys helped me a lot -> Courses on Unity 2018
They have a well-thought-out training program for beginners and the prices are more than affordable, the first course costs only 700 rubles, I used the promo code (gamedev2018) if it is still relevant, you can try.
They especially liked the online support of students, nice guys, they help to solve the problem by online chat on the site. And there is certification, but you need to pass testing by mail.
In general, I recommend if you are a complete 0 in programming and unity.

I can recommend you 2 books for learning Unity:

  • C# 5.0 programming language and .NET 4.5 platform - Andrew Troelsen;
  • The Art of Scripting in Unity - Alon Thorne.

If self-study is tight and you need the help of experts or teachers, look at some courses kursfinder.ru/unity/ and choose the right program. You will be given new knowledge faster and, perhaps, it will be better, more structured than with self-study.
And also google master classes or video tutorials in English on Unity. You can turn on the videos with subtitles, watch what foreign experts say, maybe grab some chips from them that Russian teachers don’t know :)
