I would not recommend Tom kite to a beginner, he is very tricky and over-complicated.
On YouTube there is a video recording of lectures on Oracle, each lecture is about 3 hours long.

I would not say that Tom Kite is a panacea, especially for beginners. For some reason, they are trying to shove it everywhere, in any matter.
