What to study before starting development under Windows 10 (including mobile)?

I want to start developing universal applications for Windows, but I don't know C# yet. What books are worth taking to study, given that Microsoft has recently buried WinRT, and in WP 8.1 on a new API than WP 8.0. I want to learn .NET not from video tutorials to code like a monkey, but with detailed knowledge

Get familiar with .Net, async\await, design patterns, especially MVVM. I highly recommend Pluralsight , there are thousands of great video courses on the subject. But courses alone are not enough; one must also read at least Richter.
If you have a normal base, start writing on Win10 - just spit.

Dig towards the Windows Universal App. And if you improve your knowledge of .Net, start with Richter.
