What to sacrifice RAM or processor?

Good day, Habr users! This year I'm going to university to study as a programmer (specialization - software engineering) and I plan to buy a laptop for this (both for ordinary educational tasks (surfing the Internet, typing, etc.), and for writing code). Which laptop is better to choose for these purposes: with a Ryzen 7 5700U processor and 8 GB of RAM or a Ryzen 5 5500U and 16 GB of RAM? What is better to sacrifice for a comfortable learning to program? And please explain why? Thanks <3
UPD: Adding RAM won't work

Donate RAM, it is relatively cheap, so you can always buy it in addition.

It is necessary to find out constructively, you can then add RAM.

Watching what to program. JetBrains IDE do not consume more than 4 GB of RAM (specifically for me), but they are not too demanding on the processor either (basic functions like auto-completion worked almost without brakes for me and on cord2duo).
Compiling something big on a laptop is useless. Compilation requires both cores and memory.
It is also worth considering that in laptops the processor will not work at maximum frequency all the time. And the higher the frequency, the faster it will heat up and start throttling. Therefore, you should also look at the cooling system (if these are not two configurations of the same model).
