What to read on Yii?

There was an urgent need to get acquainted with such a framework as Yii. Suggest some books to read on it.

I read both books and would not recommend Alexander Makarov's book to get acquainted with yii. It's cool, but it's a cookbook, with all that it implies. It does not cover all the possibilities of yii, it gives answers from the series “this is the kind of thing that can be done this way and that way”.
The second book is somewhat more detailed documentation from the site. So I advise you to read the entire tutorial from the yii site , from cover to cover. Everything is very well laid out there. If php is not new to you, then after reading it, you can sit down and develop. But after the tutorial, you can read the book by Alexander Makarov, it will be much more useful.
By the way, the documentation for the API is shedavral, keep it handy during development.
There is also a wiki on the yii sitewith articles by developers, there are also a lot of interesting things, read if questions arise on a particular topic.
