What to read for a quick mastery of Windows Server 2008 (for an interview)?
Good afternoon. Please tell me the sources for the rapid development of Windows Server 2008 (for an interview).
And in general, what can be asked at an interview for the position of an engineer (in the sorting main mail center of a dead-end city), if the basic requirements are knowledge of Server 2008.
What to prepare for? Learn console commands, or focus on working in the shell?

At the same time, I also faced the same issue. The outcome was this:
I installed 2008R2 on a free computer. I learned how to deploy a domain, mastered gpo, dns and other basic aspects. When I went to an interview and they started asking me questions about windows server, I realized that there was nothing to do without practice. But I decided to go in a slightly different way (since I couldn’t get that same practice at that time) - I went to 4 interviews (where the admin was mainly required for windows) - I wrote down EVERYTHING they asked me, made a stupid face (I didn’t have to pretend) and at home already honed these moments. Then, nevertheless, I got a job in a good place and now the linux admin (by the way, just =) )
books are useless. Personally, without practice, I can hardly remember anything. Practice, learn and ask questions

I recommend this Written in normal language, without water, pure practice and money is not a pity
The only source for mastering Windows 2008 is to put a trial on a piece of iron and torture it, along with a Google search. they can ask anything, from deploying a full-fledged web server, raising a terminal server, installing and sharing 1c, and ending with hyper-v virtualization or even VMWare. Looking at the tasks of the enterprise.
Basically will ask for work in the shell. In your case, there is still no time to master the console. It's a pity. With knowledge of the console, you would have a competitive edge.
And so, the main questions on the topic: "Slows down! What will you do?", Or "Users complain that they cannot log in to the server (or log in if it is a domain controller), what will you do?"
etc. etc.
But maybe you'll be lucky if an amateur asks questions. Then it can roll on a fool.
I've never been so lucky.
