What to put on the computer a free antivirus that does not load the system?

Windows 10, Macbook Air 2013. There was Kaspersky, but it did not work because of frequent system errors = crashes with a blue screen and excessive restrictions on file permissions. Now there is Bitdefender, but it significantly loads the system, RAM. Previously, the laptop almost never overheated and did not slow down, after installation this changed. Please advise an antivirus - free, good and easy.

but Bitdefender - take it down anyway.
if it's free, then Avast or AVG.
