What to learn after mastering the basics of HTML and CSS?
Now the student is on vacation, he decided while there is a lot of free time to start learning the web. After completing the course on the first level of HTML and CSS, it turned out to be at a loss. I just can’t decide what to learn next, what will definitely come in handy and learn more intensively, and why go only superficially if in the future I want to write websites and (or) mobile applications that are complex in structure.

You just need to learn how to use the search. I'm not really in the mood to joke and swear, so take it seriously. For example, your question has been asked in different interpretations a hundred times, and there were excellent answers on where to start. Links were sent to learning trees, like this (I don’t remember who sent it).
Look at the tree - if something is not clear - read, google, search on the toaster and habré. Learn to use the search, without it in any way.
This is a big illusion that you can learn something superfluous))) First, take what pulls, this is the only thing that you will get without much pain in one place) It’s worse when it’s NECESSARY)
php is definitely for the web, not because it is cool, but because it will give a good basis for a start in a short time, compared to others, and then you yourself will understand where to climb ... I hope.
ps it's best to set yourself a simple but specific task and see how this issue is solved on different approaches, the same helloworld will show what is more pleasing to your eye and clearer to your brain
