What to do with the domain controller?
Hello everyone, there is a server (windiws server 2003 r2) called control and everything is on it (AD - directory archive, DHSP, DNS in short it is on an old computer .. and we had a second one for Docs files ...) we recently bought new equipment and transferred Docs files and named it dc02 (it has windows server 2012 r2 standart installed). Loan installed windows server 2008r2 standart on the new building and named it ds01, transferred Hell and we have 2 controllers. It was disabled for 2 weeks, maybe 3, I noticed and turned it on, then somehow our control (which is on the old PC) passed out .. and this our Dso1 second controller declared itself the main one, even after we turned on the main control controller. There was a problem, kerberos errors were appearing.... I figured it out and turned off the new Ds01 controller. After that I rebooted everything and everything started working fine..
The question is, what should I do with the new Ds01 controller?
She did not work for a long time and has not yet begun to turn it on, even if everything is working now.
Tell me more how can I transfer everything from controla to another hardware?

What does "declared himself in charge" mean? Roles fsmo on which controller?
Errors are most likely due to expired certificates, how to update them - light up - there are instructions.
It is most practical to untie the domain controller from iron and keep it on a virtual machine. It is transferred - at a time (although Microsoft recommends leaving at least one of the controllers on the hardware).
It is convenient to organize domain controllers in a heap in the "Sites and Services" snap-in, in any case, their distribution over networks can be "programmed with the mouse" there.
The problem of reconciliation of "lagging behind" and their restored copies of controllers is more or less solved in new versions of Server, try to completely get away from 2003 for something fresher, exclude the old one from the domain,
... Of course, if the iron is somewhat fresher than fossil coprolites of mammoths ...
