What to do with previously configured targets (NM and GA) when connecting GTM?

Now the site has NM and GA meters installed, we want to connect GTM.

Question: What to do with previously configured targets (NM and GA)?

Delete target code and reconfigure via GTM?

Leave as is, but will the targets then be tracked?

Nothing old will be lost. These targets will remain and continue to be tracked as long as the code for their tracking is set.
Simply by using the GTM connection, you will create more new targets that you need to track. And they can be uploaded to analytics or to NM (if you configure their upload by linking analytics or metrics to GTM).
