What to do with large files?

The project has large files like app.min.css and app.min.js that are compiled by the builder. The problem is that when branches are merged, these files can, for obvious reasons, differ and automerge swears at them. It seems that they cannot be added to exceptions (they are needed, because they are part of the application), but even when merging, I would like to somehow ignore them. How do you usually deal with such files?
