What to do with formulas from the book?

In videos, in books, and in data science articles, you can't help but encounter swear words. formulas. Only there are so many of them that questions arise: WHAT formulas to remember and WHY? And how easy are they to remember?

Formulas are a precise and concise way of expressing any thought. To understand the article, the formulas are not very useful. But in order to reproduce the result - here you need to do everything strictly as it was.

You don't need to memorize formulas. You need to remember in which book and what you met, so that later you can refresh your memory.

None.
Mathematics should be studied, not memorized like poetry.
Formulas must be remembered by themselves, otherwise they will be forgotten instantly.
And those that are forgotten, you must be able to withdraw yourself (ideally).

Formulas do not need to be memorized, they need to be able to deduce. And to be able to derive them, you need to understand them.
Neither self-respecting mathematicians nor self-respecting physicists teach formulas.

A formula is just a formal way of writing down an idea. It makes sense to understand the idea itself, the formula can be immediately forgotten :)
