What to do or how to use Flexbox in Internet Explorer 8, 9?

Is it true? And why now? Now just the same, few people care. Flexbox is a feature that is sort of the threshold. Those who use them simply don't care about IE9, and even more so about IE8 (their total share on the Internet, if you do not take the corporate sector, is just over 3.5%). Here, Spartan will be released soon and the last 2 versions will be Spartan or IE Edge and IE11.
Alas, this is simply not profitable due to what I described in the previous paragraph. The last version of the somehow working polyfill came out 4 years ago and apparently is no longer updated (and does not plan to).
