What causes media request to be ignored by flexbox?

Hey!
I need your help. When creating a "slider" on flexbox, for some reason, the media rule is ignored if the value is less than 990px, and therefore, on a screen with a width of less than 990px, the image columns are not rebuilt (they should become columns).
