What to do when MBA 2018 8gb lags?

Hey!
I have an MBA 18 on 8gb, I use safari as my main browser. I noticed that when working in Google mail, it eats a lot of RAM, it gets wildly warm (70 degrees) and slows down. And such jokes are found only when working with Google mail and LinkedIn
The question is, do all Google services eat a lot of RAM so that the poppy lags, or is it just me?
PS I'm generally silent about chrome - as soon as I open it, the processor does not fall below 60 degrees.
