What to do so that the robot vacuum cleaner does not crash into dark objects?

The robot vacuum cleaner ilife crashes into a black matte baseboard and black furniture. What can reflect the surface for the proximity sensor? If you stick a white masking tape, then the device sees it and does not crash, but it does not look very good.

change skirting boards and all black matte items for others. Or just throw this crap in the trash

Apparently, this is a common problem with them due to the operation of the fall protection sensors from the steps. I'm guessing they need to be sealed with your own tape. Or just turn it off physically.
