compass calibration in android

I have never seen a compass showing the cardinal directions correctly on an android.
Why can't you calibrate the compass with a non-magical bee dance that doesn't work anyway.
Why can't you position the phone so that the top of the screen is facing north and ask the phone to remember this direction?

Because the phone is not designed for amateur geographers who know exactly where they have north there and on which side moss grows on oak. Therefore, he prefers to look for the north himself - just during the dance

Probably because the "magic dance" allows not only to determine the north, but also to calculate deviation corrections .
