What to do if the socket teeth are bent, plus if the processor cover is scratched?
Hello, I have 3 questions:
1. When installing the cooler, the mount was tightened too much, which led to several bent legs at the socket. After turning on the PC, an inscription appears: no signal detected. Question: is it because of the bent legs there is no signal?
2. I have a little scratch on the metal cover of the processor, is it dangerous?
3. Should I just buy a new motherboard? Legs are difficult to replace on their own, and repairs are expensive.

Thanks to all! The problem was indeed in the socket, changed the motherboard, everything worked!
1. Are the legs bent or broken? It is convenient to straighten with a paper knife, but you need to do this very carefully so as not to break the legs
2. Most likely it’s not scary
1. There is no signal because with bent legs (more precisely, if not everything is connected or something is short), it may not start at all.
The solution - if the legs have not broken off - straighten with improvised means (a visually bent knife, if they are on the socket, can be seen by a "different color" when illuminated from the side with a lamp).
2. It's just a screen + heat sink.
3. If broken - probably yes, if just bent - a screwdriver / awl and not very crooked hands will help.
no signal detected - a problem with the video card.
And check the power of the power supply.
