What to do if the site design is ready, but the client refuses to pay at the end of the work?

Hello.
I got into a very unpleasant situation, I'm interested in such a moment.
What to do if the site design is ready, but the client refuses to pay at the end of the work?
The stages were as follows:
(the development of the design of the site of the main page was without contracts)
50% of the total amount was paid
1. It was technical specifications 2. The
design of the site of the main page was drawn
3. Making edits
4. Finalizing the design of the site of the main page
5. APPROVING the design (which most importantly, it is on the letter)
6. Layout of layers, preparation of the PSD file for layout, finalization of the adaptive version.
And now the head ( the manager claimed) refuses to pay, referring to the fact that the customer did not like the design of the site. Although the letter says that the CUSTOMER APPROVED the design of the site.
The amount is not large. But not straight to take and forgive.
How to proceed?
1. Customer from another country.
2. The amount is slightly more than 10,000 rubles.
3. Sue? I don’t know if it’s worth it, given that such an amount will go only on a train to another country. Do not give, then how to give, than appealing?

they have at their disposal only JPG of two versions of normal and adaptive. But no PSD. But everyone understands that with a good desire, you can rivet a PSD yourself from this.
The thing is that one thing the client would merge in the middle of the project, and then at the very end, and EVEN AFTER approval by the manager, everything is ok, and they wrote in writing that the amount would be paid within a couple of days.

Score. Don't give away the PSD. At least 50% of the total cost was paid to you. Throw the site layout on some themeforest.net/category/psd-templates or use it for future developments. Analyze the client, and try not to run into similar ones in the future, + of course a contract is needed. And so it's all in words, they knew what risk they were taking.
And in no case do not agree to any revision, only after full payment.

If there are no written documents with their seal, then you have no chance. In normal firms there is an act of accepted work, in which case they go to court with it.

Forget it. You will spend more on proof that you are not a deer.

Don't give in. Don't give anything.
There are chances, but is it worth wasting time for this amount?
Once they start using it, you can run into them. Copyright is now well tightened.
If they don't use it, then they're not lying after all.

G..but it happens
If the work is good

  • Try to sell it to another designer
  • Place for sale on photo stocks
    • place on sites like Evanto

  • Place in your portfolio

Chances to achieve something from the client - 0
And remember: "Nothing strengthens relationships so strongly as PREPAID ."
This is not the first and not the last fakap in your life.
I'll tell you more - it has become the norm on freelance exchanges to do work BEFORE accepting you as a performer.
Customers are already accustomed to this.
Therefore, your customer could work with 7 performers and consider it quite normal, then if he didn’t like something at the finish line, he wouldn’t pay you.
