What to do if the first charge is stuck at 99% on a new laptop?
Good day to all, friends!
Bought a new laptop a couple of days ago.
At the first charge, the battery was not fully charged and stopped at 99%. And it was written "To fully charge left 1 minute." That one minute lasted over an hour. The inscription "Connected, not charging" was not.
The hwinfo program wrote that there is 2% battery wear.
Bios and diagnostics by the manufacturer's software, no problems were found (Health: Excellent).
I also found in the BIOS that there is a choice of switching the charging mode. (adaptive, full charge, fast, etc.)
On the manufacturer's website, I found several solutions.
- Discharge to 95% and re-charge
- Update BIOS and drivers, possibly a glitch in the system
- Discharge to 10% and re-charge
After completing all these points, the charge still hung at 99%.
Having turned on the full charge mode in the BIOS, the OS finally wrote "100% fully charged."
Returned the adaptive mode. Once again discharged, charged, 100%.
But hwinfo still shows that there is 2% battery wear, and then it shows 102% battery charge.
Should I worry and return to the store (the cost of a laptop is more than 100k)?
Or is it just a glitch in the system? It is clear that there are no telepaths here, but I would like to hear your opinion too.
Thank you!

If there is time, find out if this is a warranty case, if so, return it, change it.
