How to protect a laptop battery with a charge of up to 80%?

Hello.
Please tell me, are there programs in nature to limit the charge of an Acer laptop to 80% in order to extend its life? Samsung's last laptop had the Battery Life Extender program and it did a good job. Is there a similar software for Acer laptop?

In Samsung, the "charge up to 80%" mode is built into the BIOS, i.e. at the hardware level. Battery Life Extender only activates this feature from Windows. I haven't seen anyone else have a chip like this. I have a Samsung netbook. I confirm long-term battery life (4-5 hours of cinema) in the "Energy Saving" mode at the minimum screen brightness with the touchpad and wireless modules disabled, after 3 years of everyday use.
In general, it is recommended to store NiMH with 50% charge, i.e. not fully charged.
Batteries also degrade when exposed to high temperatures. When almost fully charged, despite the fact that "smart" chargers reduce the charging current, they get very hot. To avoid this and increase the service life with a PERMANENT connection to the network, Samsung has implemented such a mode.

A reduced charge, of course, will slightly extend the life of the battery, but for the most part, in modern batteries, wear does not occur from charging, but over time, that is, at least do anything anyway, it will not last more than 3 years

in batteries cost a controller and there is a limit on charge and discharge cycles and all these charges up to 80% garbage
