What to do if the fans spin when the button is pressed?

Yesterday I bought a new motherboard for PC - gigabyte H61M-S2PV.
And then a problem arose:
I connected it, inserted all the components (except for the video card), but the computer did not get old.
When you hold down the power button, the fans spin, and when you release the button, they stop spinning. What could be the reason?
The power supply is working, and it should be enough for 500w.
Maybe the motherboard itself is defective?

Well, or I forgot to connect the power as an option.
A photo would be nice to see.

check the connection of the body buttons to the mother. did you mix up the power on and restart?
