What to do if the computer does not see the second monitor?

Hello. I decided to connect a second monitor, but it did not work out. I have two hdmi connectors on my PC, but if I connect via the second hdmi, the monitor does not connect (it works through the first one). Everything is fine with the cable. The connector itself is not damaged. What can I do? Can install or update video card drivers?

A typical situation is one connector on the motherboard (processor video card), another connector on a discrete pci video card, when the second one is working, the first one is most likely disabled either for technical reasons (they cannot work simultaneously in principle) or for reasons of economy (the processor eats up RAM) and enabled in bios.
