What to choose to create a website with a portfolio and a blog?

I apologize in advance for the possible repetition of the topic.
Being relatively new to web development, but already having enough general knowledge of frontend and backend, I thought about creating my own personal website with a portfolio and the ability to blog. The essence of the question is which platform (framework) to use if I set myself goals not only for the implementation of the task, but also for a detailed study of PHP, AJAX and related technologies. At first, the choice fell on Yii2, but what other options can there be that have enough articles / documentation behind them for self-study? Perhaps it is worth using Wordpress or some other cms, will it give the necessary experience?

WordPress.
As for your study, DLE can also be raped on these fronts. This is me to the fact that you do not need to torment your blog with your experiments. Install WordPress, and put your lustful little hands on a project specially created for this business. At least the same WordPress, but locally, or in a subdirectory on the server. If you make something suitable, then you can always rewrite it for production, and even better.

WordPress. Better and more flexible simply does not exist.
Yii is also an option, for my own experience - a great choice, but you have to learn a lot, including cones.

wordpressssssss - the best and adapted solution for your question, for your development and just consider the solution out of the box! that's exactly what you're looking for! but in general, you can solve the problem in different ways, but WP is the most popular and most adaptive solution, IMHO ....

but I would not throw aside the Yii2 framework, and if you are already considering both frameworks and engines, then look at the DotPlant2 engine on the same framework.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
