Good day to all. I already asked a similar question about whether it is possible to implement a full-fledged crowdfunding platform using a forum engine, the answer was positive.
I would like to ask more experienced people who have dealt with different forum engines to ask which engine would be best suited for this business.
I would like to be based on the choice between IPB [Invision Power Board] and vBulletin.
But if there are much better suitable engines, then feel free to offer, just please describe why your engine is and how it is better suited for this project.
I will answer in advance those who are interested in why I need this, if there are already a lot of sites in RuNet and abroad, there is no such site in my country and I would like to start developing this type here. I want to start from the forum, since I am not a web programmer and I can’t write my own, but I don’t want to attract for money, so that I’m not 100% sure that this project will pay off in my country.

In fact, forum engines are great, and there are a lot of them, but is it necessary to use them?
Let's say InstantCMS 2.* in conjunction with payment acceptance (it seems the script cost about 3000 there) is a better solution than forums. In addition, the mini social network allows you to create your own communities and conduct correspondence on the site.
But the master is a master!
IPB and vBulletin eat up a lot of resources. I like smf more ( Russian community https://www.simplemachines.ru/ )
In addition, there is a cheap hosting for this CMS 100sm.ru/index.html#image1-14 with a stable server and good technical support (hosting).
