What to choose the size of the first page Landing Page?

Hello. As it is already clear on the question, I am a beginner, let's skip this moment :P
I did not find answers for 2015 on this topic on my own.
Essence of the question: please tell me how to choose the size for the first page of LP in PS, i.e. so that from the start the segment would occupy the entire browser screen.?
ps Accordingly, it would be convenient to make up for any screen size.
I apologize if I didn't word it correctly, I'll correct it.

For this purpose, height: 100vh and fonts with pictures in these units are ideal.
otherwise, no way. Well, you can still conjure with media queries for monitors of different heights, so that the fonts do not seem small

When layout, a height of 100% is indicated for the first block, and in Photoshop it depends on the resolution of your screen, for example, if the screen resolution is 1366x768, then the width of the layout should be somewhere 22-24 pixels less, that is, 1340 - you can basically do it. And the height of the first segment is about 640 pixels: 768 - the height of the taskbar - the top part of the browser (the height of the header and the URL input line).

I understand that most people use 960.gs/. Is this permission valid? And if everything is clear with the width, then what height to choose for the first segment?
