What to choose instead of macbook for design?
Hello!
I currently use a 15" macbook pro 2016, I work in Sketch. In view of the minuses of the new macbooks (screen cable, sticky keyboard keys, loose connectors, and on mine there is also a problem with the speaker) I'm thinking about switching to something else iMac would be devoid of these problems, but mobility is important - the device is needed both at work and at home. Mac mini is also not an option - too weak. Photoshop. Now there is AdobeXD and Figma...
What do you recommend? Maybe someone has already encountered a similar problem? I would like a reliable laptop, with a good matrix, a more or less powerful video card and a processor, because I plan to do 3D .

I can advise you to first try to work in Figma, and then decide about changing the OS.
No matter what they advise you now, it will not be so easy to switch) You will understand only when you test new devices yourself.
IMHO cheaper (and more expedient) to repair an existing macbook.
Moved from MacBook Pro 2017 to Thinkpad T470s, installed another 16GB of RAM, a 2TB disk, rolled up macOS and I don’t know what troubles) True, I don’t need 3D rendering, but figma now does not crash due to lack of RAM.
PS Proc i5 7200, 20GB RAM, 2TB NVMe, Intel HD620.
In fact, after the sale of the MacBook, I threw in another 10k to get such hardware. There are no problems with the keyboard (it is like on old MacBooks, the screen turns 180 °). The main condition for the laptop was the ability to install a hackintosh without dancing with a tambourine
