Laptop on AMD or Intel?
Ryzen 5 3550H vs Core i5 9300H? We were going to buy my wife a laptop for work (adobe, corel, office). Two candidates were chosen. She wants the one on the rizen, but it seems to me that Intel will be better, because he himself is used to them, and his frequency is higher than that of his opponent. And what can you say?
I compared these processors on one site and AMD loses everywhere. Is it so critical if you do not play games?

Ryzen 5 4600H. Laptops on the third series cost plus or minus the same amount, but noticeably slower. So not needed.
you even have a request for Google ready question: "5 3550H vs Core i5 9300H"

All synthetic tests that show the performance of intel or AMD do not matter to the author of the topic. His wife needs Adobe and Corel. Here you need to take the most resourceful operation and see. If there is none, then 99% is the same as taking it. Then you can simply focus on the price or warranty conditions.
In this case, the difference is negligible, in real life it will be difficult to feel.
Moreover, the performance of a particular laptop on a particular processor depends on secondary factors such as the power of the power supply system and the cooling system, the processor power is cut for the sake of battery life or so as not to heat up.
Even if, according to the test, the processor is slightly more productive, in a real laptop it may be the other way around, a slightly more powerful processor may give less performance.
You can cross out the processor from the comparison list and look at the rest of the characteristics.
If the rest of the parameters are the same - look at the ergonomics, the location of the buttons, the possibility of upgrading (such as the presence of an m2 connector or a CD tray for a terabyte), the number of usb ports, the cable connection side.
If there is no difference in this, then you definitely need to take Risen, because. the joy of fulfilling the desire of the wife will be obvious, but no harm.
Threat
I was given HP at work, where the power cord, network, cable of the second monitor are plugged in on the right, I'm right-handed and it's wildly inconvenient to work with the mouse. wires get in the way. Plus there are not enough USB ports. I would rather take a weaker one, but so that it is more convenient.
Here you can compare them:

The 9300H is faster, but it also has a higher TDP.
Other things being equal, I would take Intel. If AMD is noticeably cheaper or the laptop itself is more convenient - AMD
It seems that the performance is not fatally different
