Virtualization

What to choose in the role of home virtualization?

Bottom line:
1. You need something compact (I think something like an Intel NUC if possible) Core I7 gigs 8-16 1TB screw
2. 2-4 virtual machines (Asterisk for 5 users, KODI media player, a couple more for spare something not very resource-intensive)
3. A sane hypervisor (I can even buy it) - without dancing with a tambourine (so that guest rooms with Linux and Windows would be fine)

"Responsibility" of a hypervisor is a relative concept. You set some formal criteria - at least, for example, you will work for it or it will be a dedicated server. VmWare ESXi on a "lonely standing" host works for free, the client is really needed to manage it. And there have never been problems with guest rooms with Windows and Linux, and even FreeBSD.
