What to choose FIVT MIPT or FUPM MIPT?

Hello.
One friend of my friend suffers from excessive suspiciousness and cannot decide which faculty he should submit original documents to.
Habralyud, tell me who is stronger: an elephant or a whale? which is better: FIVT MIPT or FUPM MIPT?
I want more MORE, EVEN MORE algorithms and normal programming.
Thank you
. Please do not write to the LAN, a friend comes in and looks at the answers :)

Where there are more professors, and where mathematics is better taught. And programming is taught only at home.

Definitely, programming is easier than thinking. You need to learn mathematics and its derivatives, the brain will be better at thinking in the end. Learn more at home.

There is not enough programming at FUPM, in my opinion. There is an algorithm, but I would not say that there are many. I don't know anything about FIT.

Definitely FUPM:

  • Faculty, which has preserved the volume of physics, which is still useful to know for general development
  • The volume of mathematics and economics as in the FIVT
  • Programming is really given in the main curriculum only partially, for a deeper study there are many technical courses and training centers (NetCracker, Parallels, NIKS) where you can get very valuable experience working on real projects, and these opportunities are available to all students. Therefore, I do not think that the presence of an exam in computer science at the FIFT can be put at the forefront.
  • On average, stronger teachers and more rigorous assignments/exams (this, by the way, is very important)
  • Lack of pseudo-innovation-Skolkovo disciplines, such as the "Innovative Workshop"
  • The choice of the basic department is made by the student at the end of the second year (you choose and pass interviews), and not by the admission commission, as is done at the FIFT. As a result, it may turn out that at the FIFT you will be assigned to a department where you do not want to study, and it can be problematic to transfer to another
  • No less strong basic departments and acc. named after the enterprise (ISP RAS, Parallels, IPPI RAS)

(I myself am with FRTK, but I live with a student of FUPM)

The comrade finishes FIVT, says he is satisfied. There are many departments sponsored by companies and then practically guaranteed employment and give practical knowledge. This is important because usually in universities this is not enough. I don't know about FUPM.

In the first years, the curriculum is almost the same for all faculties. And then you can always move on.

I do not quite agree with the previous author: an innovative workshop is not a pseudo-Skolkovo discipline - sometimes really good and useful projects turn out.
The choice of the basic department is not determined by the commission upon admission - you also choose at the end of the 2nd course. Upon admission, they only ask which department and why you want to go.
At FIVT, a good course for a programmer is a lot of different useful items that will be needed in the future.
The volume of physics is the same, with the only difference that at the FIVT the course of theory of mechanics starts a course later, and the theory of theory starts a semester later.
A stricter acceptance of exams - the same does not quite agree. Maybe 3-4 years ago it was like that, now life is not easy for us either. And the exams of the Yandex department are not a freebie at all =)
