What to choose between Lenovo e31-70 and Acer Aspire V3-372-P84K: 13.3" + autonomy?
I understand that perhaps not quite a question for a toaster, but a couple of poor customized reviews did not clarify the situation.
I 'm going to take Lenovo E31-70 laptop in Celeron 3205u/4gb/500hdd configuration. I did not find possible reviews for this model, mainly either on ai3 or a stump. Interested in the opinion of the owners or those who have encountered the device: what are the indicators of battery life in different profiles. I'm going to use for field work - networks / small webdev. How bad is the processor for these tasks?
And you are also interested in autonomy and performance on Linux, how is it?
I would also like to feel the information security in my free time, did anyone have any pitfalls with kali?
WithActually, in principle, I decided on the purchase, I chose between Lenovo on Celeron and Acer on the stump 4405u, but the brand scared away and the price was 6 thousand higher. Or is it worth considering?
UPD. 22.02 After thinking about it, I decided to choose Acer, model
V3-372 -P84K, stump 4405u 2.1Ghz 2 cores with hyperthreading, 4Gb RAM, 500 hdd. The price is 29600. Of course, there is also a model with 6gb / i3 / 128ssd / 1920x1080 for 34000, but this is already too big a plus for the initial budget of 23-25k, and even so it is possible to reach i7-last_generation / 256ssd. In addition, at 13.3 "fullhd for a blind-sighted me, it will be rather a minus, because I worked at one time in fullhd on a 17-inch laptop and it was, of course, cool, but not always comfortable, especially now I see worse.
Pluces, it seems to me, the processor - 4 threads, higher frequency, 2 slots for RAM (the ability to upgrade memory cheaper), 4 battery cells (according to the reviews of a colleague, the owner of a similar Acer 331, autonomy 4-6 hours with video Internet, according to reviews men from a toaster - everything is better than two cells from lenovo), plus subjectively more successful connectors: 4 usb (2 pcs 2.0, 1 pc 3.0, 1 pc Type-C), one video - hdmi (instead of unnecessary VGA + HDMI). Cons - portable LAN-connector (with a cover, it can break), distrust of the Acer brand, according to reviews, a lower quality assembly, disgusting arrows on the keyboard. Unsubscribe after the purchase, maybe someone will be needed.
In this, thanks for the advice)))
UPD 07.03
Maybe someone will come in handy.
I bought the indicated Acer model, brought it home, opened it ... And I went nuts. I have not seen such disgusting matrices even in the cheapest Chinese phones. As a result, I went and changed it to the next P6ZD model - the same percentage, 6 RAM, 128 SSD, ips 1920x1080. +4000 rubles. Compared to 1366x768 TN - heaven and earth Although, of course, FullHD at 13.3" without scaling is too small.
Regarding autonomy - today I tested the maximum brightness from 20:00, the Wi-Fi did not turn off. Installing Visual Studio with downloading it via Wi-Fi, installing additional software, the old Icewind Dale toy - 2 hours of play, working in VS2015 - 2 hours of a simple desktop project. Parallel browsing. Now 0:42, writes the rest of 14 percent, the energy saving mode has turned on. The result is 5 hours of operation at maximum brightness with Wi-Fi turned on. OS - pre-installed Win10 Home SL.
I think if you reduce the brightness - it will stretch more. I wonder what will happen with power saving on Linux.
