What threatens registration on the site without a secure connection?
There is one pirate free server of some MMORPG, I want to play it. But I am wildly confused by the fact that their official website and forum with an insecure connection. I have never dealt with such sites where you can register accounts and still not have a secure connection. I don’t understand this whole topic at all, I’m not a tech savvy, therefore, in fact, the question is: what do I risk if I register on such a site? Firefox warns that it is possible to compromise passwords, credit card information, and so on and so forth. I have saved my card details and some passwords in my browser, this site will not be able to "hijack" them? I suppose, for security, I just need to not use a password when registering, which I already use somewhere, so that they don’t hack me, if anything, right? And that's it? Do you need to take any more precautions? Isn't it dangerous for them to indicate their email and confirm registration through the letter that comes?
I just don't understand why they didn't make a secure connection as standard. I asked them in those support, they replied that "well, it's just a free server, there is no https protocol, what is that." Well, I want to ask you, but what, in fact, is this?

Pirate server. It's embarrassing...
If you don't specify bank details and the like on this server, then nothing bad, most likely, will not happen.
But installing a pirated patched version of the game (when installing the client, turn off the antivirus, there is a false positive, honestly, no trojan) can lead to a leak of any of your data. I'm not saying there is a virus, but there is a possibility.
I have a special spam box through which I register anywhere. The password, of course, must be unique for each resource. The same password can only be on those resources whose loss is not important to you. You can register using the Tor browser. Then all your data is safe and some anonymization.
What do I risk if I register on such a site?
1. Turn on anonymous mode in your browser.
2. Find a temporary mail service.
3. Get a temporary e-mail address.
4. Register with an unused (by you) password.
5. Download what you want.
6. Check with an antivirus what you downloaded.
7. Forget the temporary acc on the next. day.
You need to download something else (not on this day, but later) - repeat everything from point 1.
PS: You can use the tor-browser for greater anonymity.
