What technologies do you use to work remotely with colleagues and subordinates?
Let's say you have a programmer working remotely, or your colleague is in another city. Or you just don’t like traffic jams and prefer not to go anywhere and not drive your subordinates to discuss something. What software and technology do you use?
It is clear that Google Docs is probably already used by everyone who has at least one employee working remotely. But it’s interesting who else uses what: to set tasks for employees, discuss project details, to control the programmer’s work time, to maintain a common project, to write common code, etc.

Generic code... SVN? :)
Team of 14 people (core in the office with a free schedule and several representatives abroad):
- Communication: skype, gmail,
maillists - Planning: trac, Highrise
- Sales: Highrise (we plan to switch to pipedrive)
- Accounting: toggl
- Documents: Docs , Dropbox
Skype, Megaplan, Google Docs. These are the main ones.
Tried a lot of other things - didn't work. Evernote included.
Standard for many option: jira + confluence + mail. Plus skype for interactive communication and calls, general team chat.
But with Google Docs, on the contrary, somehow it doesn’t work out especially, as with wave, although someone likes it.
Despite the fact that we are sitting in the same room in the office, we constantly use Git, Teambox and ICQ. This is, so to speak, three whales.
Google wave did not take root, as well as Docs
Internal tracker, skype, mail.
We use LeaderTask.
We assign tasks only through it, and we also create projects and work in them.
Well, and standard Skype + Dropbox.
Communication with colleagues Skype, within the company IRC.
To track tasks, we use Redmine
To control working time - Bitcop Security
