What structure to choose for your CMS?

I am writing my bike - CMS for sites. And so I thought - what structure to choose for it?
Maybe there are already ready-made approaches?

@mlnkv

take an example from popular projects, look at the structure of Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla and decide what you like best.

It’s better not to invent anything yourself, but to take a ready-made framework: Symfony, Yii, Django, etc.
So it will come out faster and better.

CMS-CMS are different. There may be one type for shops, another for domestic hamsters, and a third for newsmen.
Well, what structure do you need? File storage? Relationships between tables and entities? Structure of plugins and extensions? Maybe a template structure?
You need to take wordpress / opencart / drupal etc, look at their structure (fortunately, they are well documented, you don’t even have to look into the code), decide what doesn’t suit you, what you want to simplify-improve.
PS if you make your bike with crutches, make it so that you can at least ride it yourself, and if something happens, then limp.

I recently did a thesis on WP (God forgive me). Of course, you will excuse me, but I really feel that this was a purely theoretical question to see how the majority will answer. If not so - correct)
If on this issue: take CMS-ku WP, Joomla or Drupal. They have large communities, and will suit your tasks)
