What structure should a react + django project have?

Hello, I'm doing a training project, front on react, back on django. I did this: I created a django project, added a front folder to it, in which I created a react project using react-create-app. Can this be done, or is it better to create two different projects in different folders? Please share how to do it right.

It is possible, but in real projects, different teams are involved in the front and back, so the projects are usually different, in different repositories.
