What SOHO solutions exist for long-term data storage (archives/backups)?
I am studying how to organize long-term storage of an average amount of data in order to have a backup of my photos / videos in original quality.
Requirements:
* Backup size 100-200 GB
* Guaranteed storage period of 5 years
* Backup will be updated rarely - maybe once every six months
I already use www.mozy.com and drive.google.com for permanent backup. My volumes (225 GB) cost me about $150/year. (For this money, in principle, one could get anlim from www.carbonite.com , but somehow I found it too late).
Now I would like to have an offline backup. Options, as I have found so far:
* ssd - there is little data on shelf life, but the general opinion is that they can be discharged
* hdd - projected shelf life of about 5 years, strongly depends on the electromagnetic field around
* tape - about 30 years, but quite expensive + changes in standards make 30 years meaningless
* cd / dvd / bd - standard discs do not live very long. You can try www.delkin.com or www.millenniata.com but there are no guarantees
. I like hdd the most. But I want to spread straws. I do not want to use raid, because the disk is supposed to be stored on the shelf in the off state. Probably there are raid boxes that connect to a computer? But I would probably have enough of some kind of file system that provides duplication of data within a single disk.
Does it happen? Are there any other considerations for offline backups?

hdd+archiving with redundancy is enough. If you are worried, make 2 hdd, and take the second one somewhere far away from home.
Use an inexpensive NAS (network storage) with a couple of disks and support for RAID, prices (without the cost of disks) are about $100-200, software is usually included.
You can use the first and second points and store data on the HDD and SSD at the same time.
use an external backup service for windows
using backblaze.com
costs 5 bucks a month.
