What software to choose for organizing a chat for a local network?

Recommend a chat for a local network (30 computers). Something simple that does not require Internet access with the ability to send private messages and receive notifications about them. A typical Windows desktop application.

Under Windows there is Vypress Chat.

Of the messengers with the planned support for conferences, this is bimoid. Pure chats are commfort and mychat. The rest is sadly complete.

I solved the same problem a couple of months ago. I tried a lot of things, eventually settled on Open Fire + Pandion with authorization through AD. Works amazing. Moreover, the server is available both on linux and under windows.
