What skills do you need to open your own web studio?

How to understand for yourself whether you have grown up to create your own web studio ?
Are there any criteria, for example:
100+ sites + such and such skills?
And in general, is there any point in creating your own web studio when the competition is sooo big?

As others have correctly said, these are, first of all, not technical skills, but the skills of a manager, manager.
You need to be able to find customers, create their flow. Be able to build the entire chain of product creation / promotion in your company and follow it. Be able to interact with people: with your clients, with your employees, with freelancers, with the state.
We need to manage resources wisely. Both financial and human. So that there were no situations of downtime for employees, there were no negative balances (although, it’s unrealistic here, they will always be), there were no debts (similarly).
You need to be able to look from the perspective of the client. Put yourself in his place, think about his needs. Build your advertising policy in such a way as to get straight to the target audience. You need to be able to choose your niche correctly, position your services in this niche and interact with customers from this niche.
And the most important skill that will come in handy, in general, in life, I think. You need to be able to distinguish an adequate person from an inadequate one. This skill will immediately save a newly minted web studio from a bunch of problems, such as a millionth edit on a business card website, coordinating texts with the cleaning lady of the accountant's wife of the customer and "a brilliant innovative startup idea called" don't you want to become millionaires?
PS And, in general, you can do nothing, but just rent a shabby office, put a dead home laptop there, quickly cut a website for the studio on a template stolen from TM, purchase Direct settings from another "young and promising targetologist" student, thump there 5- 6 thousand rubles, sit on a chair in an empty office and enjoy the fact that you are a businessman :) And when a potential client calls, then break him a price tag of a hundred for a business card site and outsource the execution to the first person from the Vkontakte group "Layout of HTML sites /js/css".
So, in my personal opinion, 80% of small studios in the provinces work.

There is only one criterion... a stream of clients that you can no longer handle without a team)))

Now it makes no sense to create your own studio, there are too many of them. It will be extremely difficult to break through, especially without experience and a ready-made well-coordinated team. And even more so without a reserve of money, from which it will be necessary to pay specialists for the fact that there are no orders.
For persuasiveness, you can search for articles on Habré, how people created studios and everything collapsed due to fierce competition. I've seen a couple.

it has nothing to do with your skills. you can not fumble at all in creating sites (some businessmen still live in the field of the web) - the main thing here is the workers you need to find. at least one for each position - manager, designer, front, back.
well, and start-up capital for this four to work for the first time. for free, hardly anyone will agree.

Let's start from the very beginning - why do you want to open your own web studio?

First, build your customer base. When there is a base with regular customers, you can open a studio.

I join - you just need to be a talented marketer, be ready for "not very pleasant" work almost around the clock (always dissatisfied customers, irresponsible workers. desire to spit on everything and do it yourself, fatigue). plus some basic advertising methods - banners, websites, etc. In short, you need to be an intelligent smm-schik. then it won't be really difficult, I think) but in general look at these guys www.i-media.ru
