What skills are important for a system administrator?

I dream of becoming a system administrator, at least an assistant (I know that the work is very hard).
And so it would be desirable to learn what skills are important for the system administrator?
Is it worth studying to be an electrician in order to master this or that knowledge in electronics?
I know that most administrators are "self-taught"
But they also have certain skills.

An electrician is an electrician, you can learn if you plan to climb into cabinets with high voltage. Can save you from death. If this is not planned, but there is a desire and time to understand the automation, learn from instrumentation. But if you want to become a system administrator, you probably won’t need it and it’s better to go as an assistant to the system administrator after learning the theory. A couple of months will be enough to understand whether you need it or not.
