What sizes of psd files do your designers have?

Too bad you can't vote on the toaster.
but, however, it is very interesting - what sizes of psd files are considered average?
I see that some of our designers create files of 3gb, some of 1.5gb.
And somehow I'm not comfortable with such sizes.
PS I understand that the question is broad. draw mainly interfaces for mobile phones.

The working file may well be of this size.
On the other hand, when transferring to development, it would be nice to optimize the files (with a backup).
Namely:

  • Rasterize all smart objects
  • Apply masks
  • Rasterize layer effects
  • Merge layers and rasterize illustrations (which are usually just a group with a bunch of layers)

3 gig for PSD norms.

What confuses you? 1.5-3 GB is still normal, especially if these are interfaces.

I agree with the commenters above. It all depends on how many pages are placed in one source, and on the computer the designer works on. If the computer is weak, then you have to take out each page in a separate source.

Question: I live in Uzbekistan, the Internet speed is 15kb / s, if I order a design, and it weighs 3 GB, then how can I download it?

In my opinion, it is currently somehow indecent to generate files of this size. For interfaces, you need to use other programs, Photoshop is too heavy and does not have much for this area. I made prototypes with dozens of pages, fit into dozens of megabytes (axure rp). In illustrator, it turns out a little more - hundreds of megabytes, and this is due to the fact that the illustrator is debility and adobe scored on its optimization. And Photoshop always gives monstrously huge files in which you can’t figure out the hell and you can’t look from a weak computer.
