What site width should I make 1366 or 1349?

Hello! There were difficulties in understanding some aspects of the site, namely:
1) When you click "Show code" 1349 pixels are displayed, but when you make a screen of this page, this screen is already displayed as 1366 pixels. Why?
2) When I make a layout in PS, what width should I set 1349 or 1366 pixels?
I will be grateful for your help!

Set the width of the entire site to any, even in 2k resolution. The main thing is that the content area for all screens is the same (with some exceptions, you can adapt large screens).
For example, let's take the example of different monitors, assuming that the content area is 1170px.
1920px
1366px
1240px The only
difference between monitors will be that the header, footer, and other elements that have a full-screen rubber width will stretch, and the content area for all will be 1170px.
Example:
The content area is marked in red, the header elements in this example are stretched to the full width, and it doesn’t matter what resolution you draw them in.
Therefore, when choosing a screen resolution, be guided by your preferences, the main thing is to keep the content area in the same size.

Everything is very simple, you have changed the scale in the browser. Set the scale to 100%. Then the screenshot will match the dimensions in the code.

Layouts are best done not in PS but in Figma. In general, PS has never been good for web design. Before figma and others like it, there was Macromedia FireWorks, for example. I never understood this love for Photoshop among customers, especially in the post-Soviet space. Photoshop is a photo editor from the very beginning, it is most convenient to do photo manipulations in it.
Figma, for example, already has the layout sizes you need for different devices.
