What should I do if there is no equivalent to replace a disk in RAID5?

Hello!

A question arose here. There is a RAID5 array on 4 SCSI disks. One disk failed. RAID continues to work and waits for a new disk to be thrust into it.

The problem is that there are no spare drives available and the vendors cannot supply the drive model used in the RAID.

In this regard, two questions.

1. Is it possible to put another SCSI disk, and a different volume (larger than the others)?

2. Is it possible to install a drive with a spindle speed of 15krpm if all the drives in the array are 10krpm?

If the raid is assembled by mdadm, then it's easy.
If it is a hardware controller, then it is better to read the documentation.

1. it is possible, but it seems that it will not be completely clogged, but according to the minimum capacity of one of the disks that are in the raid
2. it is possible

And there will be no problems if all disks with a hardware cluster size are 512 bytes, and the new one will be 4096 bytes?
