What should I do if I want to become a game developer but I don't know what?

I love computer games and dream of becoming a modemaker or game developer, but alas, for one of the reasons I don’t know anything on this topic, I don’t know programming languages, although I tried to start learning, but I don’t understand what and why. Please help me where do I start? How to learn at least a little bit so that he could further develop himself and not spend a lot of time on all this ... Where to learn languages \u200b\u200band where to start, etc. thanks in advance)

The most compromising option for someone who knows nothing but is burning with desire is to write plugins for Minecraft. There are enough articles on the Internet for complete dummies.
If you have a reserve of patience, then you can go to game resources like codebattle, codegames, etc.
There are resources for people who have a very hard time programming, for example, javaRush (there is also an opportunity to write a simple game of your choice in a fairly short time).

Games are the same programs.
Therefore, master the basic skills of programming.
Try to implement the simplest good old games, such as sea battle, sokoban, some text quests.
At the current stage, it makes no sense to immediately choose a specialization for life - just try to implement the same game in different programming languages - in Java, in C ++, in JS, in order to understand the infrastructure around languages.
Well, for starters, it would be nice to become an advanced user.

Start with Google for the query "How to develop games?". Although you should not start doing this at all if you start saying "how to develop without spending a lot of time."

Learn at least one programming language, at least the basics and Google to help. Or go learn to draw, then Google to help. Or write interesting stories, scripts, then Google. The studio will get a job as a cleaner where they make games. Loving games and making games are two completely different things.

1. download the unit
2. turn on YouTube

Unreal Engine and Unity have extensive documentation and require minimal programming knowledge (simulation/design is more useful). The official manuals are in English, but with a bunch of pictures and videos + I think it will not be difficult to find their translations, although they could be outdated in some cases.

See what you enjoy doing the most. There are many specialties in game development that differ from each other. You can start with Unity or Unreal Engine. Try to model, draw, write logic, there are a lot of lessons on YouTube on this matter. See what comes next - programming, modeling, drawing, scripting, etc.
