What should be SaaS-CMS?
In the West, there are several popular saas-platforms for creating websites, but in Russia such services are not in demand, so the question for web designers, webmasters and representatives of small studios was born:
- What features should a saas-CMS have in order to be used by small studios and web designers?

I am engaged in the concept of saas cms based on diem-cms
The advantages of saas cms can (should) be the following:
- there is no need to configure server hosting, upload core files of the cms
- a set of ready-made modules is also installed from the admin panel (in the box it is download the module, install, make sure that everything works)
- support for dependencies of third-party system components (modules / plugins) on the version of the cms kernel
- automatic update (if a new version of the kernel is released and all third-party modules have the appropriate version)
Hidden and not obvious advantage - if the cms architecture supports automatic installation of templates, modules and other third-party functionality developed by the community, then the user has access to all this functionality at no additional cost (with the box you need a webmaster who can extract community products and install them to the site)
Actually, now many web studios are cashing in on this algorithm: they take a boxed solution + community products necessary to solve the problem and “collect”, but do not develop the site.
Well, as for web studios and designers, it will be much easier for them to work with such saas-cms.
Moreover, as a feature - the presence of a built-in code editor to implement the functionality through the admin panel in the browser.
I can only say one thing, in Russia they always try to rip off more. For example, Bitirix provides saas for hosting providers and web studios, but the price is very high from 250 thousand.
When prices drop, then more demand for these products will go!
I am developing Zaddaz.com and also asked myself this question. There are 2 ways:
1. Make a CMS for studios / freelancers / programmers who will customize it (design, templates) and sell it to end users
2. CMS immediately for end users - less spreading or with spreading, which the user may not know about .
Then it all depends on marketing and the ability to sell it to the right category of people.
