What should be in a blog?

Today we set a cool task - to make another custom blog engine =)

TK in short:
- a thematic blog, a narrow circle of authors, one administrator
- comments to choose from three types - native, facebook and vkontakte. The type is switched in conf
- wide possibilities for layout of articles
- attachments, including convenient loading of images in batches right in the editor
- videos from video hosting sites
- tags
- drafts
- templates in HTML with CSS3
- quick customizability of templates
- private mode, enabled in conf
- admin interface on jQueryUI

What should be in a modern lightweight blogging engine?

If you ordered a custom website, what would you like? What would you ask developers?

If you don’t want to shoot good ideas, you can whisper in a PM - I won’t tell anyone.

I will give the author of the best tips a site on a new engine.

Answer the question

itself did not come across, but is it possible to arrange it in such a way that all comments are native in appearance, no matter through which authorization they were added. Those. When authorizing through social networks, do not install comment widgets, but record the user in the session, turning him into a “native” one?
>> wide possibilities of layout of articles
why is it in the blog?
>> attachments, including convenient loading of images in batches directly in the editor
previous question.
>> video from video hosting sites
and there is no need for special buns.
>> quick customizability of templates
is not the customer's concern.
>>admin interface on jQueryUI
not critical, the main thing is as simple and convenient as possible.
>>If you ordered a custom website, what would you like? What would you ask developers?
a minimum of movements to add material / work with the site. instead of the wide possibilities of layout of articles - high-quality templating, so as not to typeset them, but simply to fill in the fields. minimalism in everything in the spirit of works on dribbble.com/

@Wott

- images must be downloaded and used from hostings of the corresponding ones - picasa, flikr
- security - filter attackers, allow admins and authors to log in / log in
- seo - h123,title,desc, manage noindex for the page and links
- meta - there is a lot of meta information for pages from favicon to facebook tags
and generally correctedogs said - we take WP and look at popular plugins for it

Separate buttons for liking each author. Example - I click on the name of the author and get to the page with his publications, there is a separate infobox with brief information about the author and like buttons. When I click them, I send a like to the social network with the text “I read Vasya Pupkin on sitename.com”.
There's also a feed from the author's twitter.
Slideshow for photo
posts Avatars from gravatar.com
If a blog platform, then the ability to customize the main one (friend feed, posts by tags)
