What should a coder read about design and UX?

Good afternoon. Advise the layout designer what to read about web design, UX. The plan is not to retrain as a designer, but simply to understand the design, to have a reasonable point of view.

@globuzer

Alexey Kulakov talks well about usability, see some of his stories on Youtube.
In general, if you youtube, you can get good videos on this topic. For example, the channel "Netology".
In general, about the above topic, if you touch, then you need to learn the basics. Very well set out in the classics, for example, take the same Cooper.
PS = Yes, the link about scientific design is very useful, Denis Mishunov tells conceptual things about design, the video work is worth watching, after all, he prepared the report for a long time.

You can start with the classics.
"Psychiatric hospital in the hands of patients", Alan Cooper
"Don't make me think", Steve Krug
"Design of ordinary things", Donald Norman
"Guidance", Artemy Lebedev (helps to understand in general what's what in design)
