What should a beginner python programmer learn?
Hello! I am a student in my second year. Until recently, I went with the flow, I just studied well on insta (ie, I only have experience writing simple programs in Delphi), but now the financial situation in the family made me think about my future.
I started to study Python (I took "Intro to interactive programming in Python" on the courser, now I'm moving on to the second part of it). it is used in DSP and computer vision, and these areas are of interest to me. Also a useful thing in my luggage will be MySQL, which I now have at the university.
I set a specific medium-term goal for myself: in a year to get a paid internship in order to start receiving at least some money and experience. Therefore, the option of entering the ShAD, which I initially considered as the main one, disappeared, and I decided to postpone this venture for a year ahead. As a result, I have a question: what would you advise to do / study? Focus on Django, mb html/css, etc. and guaranteed to go to the internship in a given period? Or take a chance, try to do what is interesting (learn dsp based on python, or opencv), and go to some cool place like Yandex, in the hope that they will pay attention to you? (The most vague option for me). More recently, the idea arose to try your hand at a combination of the web, and, for example, machine learning, maybe not bad too? In general, help advice noob)

Do not expect money from the sky! Learn English and official manuals. Learn someone else's code, follow the experienced ones at Livecoding.tv and don't give up for a couple of years!
If you want to make money programming, just start programming, from simple to complex. The university only steals your time. I advise you to try yourself on the web, because the profession is promising and does not require special programming skills to start, and you can switch to python at any time. It takes two weeks to master the html + css bundle, practiced for a month or two, after which the first freelance orders. It's all layout. Further, along with the existing work, there is a parallel study of the JavaSript language, which adds interactivity to the web, after which PHP (the server side of the web) is mastered. The same PHP can be replaced over time with python, which is essentially a universal web. It will take a little time, provided that you leave the university. Write to [email protected] if you are interested. I'll tell you
