What settings do you need to make to the domain to create mail on it?

There is a domain xxx.com which is hosted on 1freehosting.com hosting and there is a virtual machine at home behind NAT CentOS 7 on which I want to install iRedMail The question is what should I do with the domain so that mail can go through it?

Just in case, I recommend that everyone re-read the comments to the question - there should be no talk of any "production" of the mail server behind NAT, the mail will go to spam.
If there is no static IP at the edge of the network, then do not read further at all.
For the purposes of education, you can/should:
1) forward ports 25, 465 (smtp, smtps), 80, 443 (http (s) for mail webmord), 993 (imap over ssl), 995 (pop3 over ssl) on the network default gate ) out from
the virtual machine 2) create a mail.example.com domain pointing to white (just in case, for those who are in the tank - the address must be static ) IP default of the network gate.
3) create an MX record like example.com. IN MX 10 mail.example.com.
4) Wait 2x$TTL for the domain zone, run the iredmail installer, next-next-next-winston-parlament, go read the forums on how to save iredmail from outgoing spam in the current version, which is relayed through us, how to fix all its bugs in current release, nuitd.
5) Scratch your turnips, buy ispmanager and an honest virtual machine, or go to pdd.ya.ru.

Yes, a lot. First you need to install iRedMail.
Then you need to see how DNS is configured to work with the domain, for example here
Pay attention to all kinds of PTR and other reverse domain records.
In general, I would suggest putting it first, and then poking around on the task.
